Karbala Scientific Movement Int’l Conference Slated for November
The Karbala Heritage Department affiliated to the Astan’s Islamic Teachings and Humanities deputy will organize the conference, which is slated for November 17-18.
Quranic sciences and Tafseer (interpretation), Hadith and Rijal sciences, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), theology, Arabic language and literature, Seerah, and manuscripts, are the fields in which works can be submitted.
The scholarly event is aimed at shedding light on different aspects of the Karbala scientific movement in the tenth century after Hijra and the introducing top figures of the movement.
The participants will also discuss manuscripts of the time, especially Quran manuscripts.
It is one in a series of conferences and seminars whose purpose is to revive the cultural, ideological and scholarly heritage of Karbala.
The department has called on scholars, experts and researchers to submit their papers to the secretariat of the conference.
